It has been a very exciting and successful 2015/16 Season for all in Bearsted Korfball Club, we have enjoyed success after success at all levels and across all squads, I have been extremely proud to be the Club’s Chairman.
Our Under 9s have had a great season, bonded as a team, they came a very close 3rd in the league and very creditable Runners Up on the Finals Day.
Our Under 11s are a small squad but none the less committed and again were Runners Up on Finals Day.
Our Under 13s are one of our biggest squads and were extremely successful, winning the League, Finals Day and Runners up in the U14 National League in their first year in this particular competition.
Our Adult Recreational teams have played well with the Colts very much a developmental team which features many of our junior players playing up and playing well in this adult competition.
The Rams have had a great season winning the League and The Plate on Finals day and are now 4 wins in 4 years.
Our Second team enjoyed some great play during the season and were Runners Up in Serl 2 but then went on to win the play off to earn promotion into Serl 1 for the new season.
Our First Team played so well throughout the season winning Serl 1 and successfully achieved promotion to the EKL.

Bearsted Korfball Club are one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the country but we can’t rest on our laurels as we grow we have to change and evolve to ensure we reach our full potential.
We must embrace change not be resistant to it or we will stagnate.
As a club we have started some great initiatives this year including the England Korfball Inspired program with many more to follow.
As outgoing Chairman I wish Chris your new Chairman the very best for the new season and I look forward to enjoying more fantastic Korfball from our great club.
Bearsted Korfball Club, having secured promotion to the Premier League, are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced coach who can develop the talent of our first team and realise the undoubted potential of our young players.
This opportunity has arisen because our current coach, who has worked tirelessly and effectively to gain this promotion, is unable to continue in his role due to personal reasons (twins!!)
If you would like to apply for this exciting, but challenging role, please contact Nicky Bedford on firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, 27th June, stating why you would like to be considered and what you can offer the club.
On behalf of the whole of the committee and players of Bearsted Korfball Club we would like to congratulate Rebecca and Karl Sieber on the birth of their lovely twins Alice and Jack.
Our very best and sincerest wishes to all the Sieber family on these wonderful new additions to the Sieber Korfball clan.
We look forward to welcoming Alice and Jack to the Junior Squad in time and know they will look great in Bearsted Korfball Purple !
Bearsted Korfball Club would like to thank the Bearsted Fayre Committee for their generous donation of £200.00 towards the purchase of new balls and training equipment for the club and its members. – Colin Chambers – Bearsted Chairman
